Really good to hear from you.......

If it's the film of a book, there's invariably more depth in the book.....

That would be nice, perhaps I should. I've been to Iceland before, had a great time.
I know many prefer books over the movie.. I dont have time or the patience to read a book for several weeks when i can see the movie. and i have dyslexia, so reading is less fun when you have word blindness... (He cant kill the person) (He kill the person) some time a missed word can become a total new meaning.
So i think i will continue to stick to the movies and series.

Yeah i think you should.. it comes a day when you become to old or to sick to travel.. so why not do it while you can.

    Afternoon Mike
    Hi Ken
I have not spent a minute on computer maintenance the last four months.. and the time i have spent at the keyboard have been emails, research and a few posts on a swedish forum that is non-tech... If i stay away from computers long enough, maybe i will get a tiny-tiny bit of the computer interest back... but so far i still hate computers.... and i wont install/fix a single computer unless its my multimedia computer i use to watch movies and series.
This laptop is on its way to stop working and i dont even care a single bit.. My logs soon have more errors then information posts. *LOL* I'm just waiting for the system crash.

Yeah, my brother is mildly dyslexic so I know what you mean.
Me, if I start a book I don't like to put it down until I've finished it (which can sometimes lead to some very late nights/early mornings)

Yeah, my thought too - and before the travel insurance gets too heavy an age-related loading!

*smiling* yeah you see.. its bad... if you had ditched the book and went for the movie it had become less late nights for you. *LOL*

They will still have snow on iceland for a month more, so if you go now, you can still see snow this winter.

Ah, but the books I really want to read right now haven't been made into movies yet (and some probably can't be )

I was under the impression they had a bit more fire than ice at the moment
The Blue Lagoon (a magical experience BTW) had to close until the eruption had subsided, for example.

Today with computer animation and all that, i think they can make movies about anything they can write down in words.. So you might see those books in movies too... if they are popular enough so to speak. it all comes down to money.

They seem to have it bad over there for the moment.. its not so much on the news about it any more though.. at least not so much in the swedish news.
You should take a trip to north sweden next year and visit the ice hotel The Icehotel in Sweden | Since 1989 | ICEHOTEL I have a feeling that one is worth the trip.. and you will get a lot of the snow winter feeling at the same time

I have never visit it even i do have relatives living just 120miles from there and i have been up to them more times then i can remember.. its only a 2˝hours drive, so i dont know why i never have taken the detour just to check it out.

Yeah, the Blue Lagoon only reopened a few days ago - saying "....these facilities may be affected by earthquakes and potential volcanic eruptions. Should any such situations arise, guests will be notified, and appropriate actions will be taken."

The particular book(s) I was thinking of when I said "probably can't" was Roger Zelazny's 'Great Book of Amber', a compendium of his 10 'Amber' novels. I've just finished (re)reading it . I've just had my eyes tested and got some new glasses (I thought I'd give them a thorough 'test run')

Apparently someone is going to have a go at it.....

Stephen Colbert Series Roger Zelanzny’s ‘The Chronicles Of Amber’
