As Andre asked what was wrong with chair....... it had a terrible squeak / groan. Every time I leaned back you could hear this chair throughout the 2nd floor.

They replaced the base control mechanism (things that allows chair to go up and down, tilt, slide etc.) They have redesigned and the springs look more solid.
