    Good morning / afternoon folks.

In the low 30's, frost on the ground, supposed to hit the low 50's.

She is happy to be home again. She's a little upset that she's having the problems she is, it's harder for both of us then we thought it would be. She wants to be upstairs so she can sleep in her own bed, but she's having a lot of problems & scooting up the stairs one at a time isn't going to work like she thought it would.

But overall she's glad to be back. I'm glad she's back also, the house seems a lot less lonely.
    Good morning Borg.

I'm sure that being home will lift her spirits and renew her determination to get back on her feet. Wishing you both all the best.

    Afternoon Bree.

    Thank you.

I'm having to get used to hearing the TV going downstairs again, haven't had that on in close to 4 months.

It's a bit harder then I thought it would be, moving her around & such. I had to buy a transfer aid, it braces her knees & pivots in place, helps with transfers from bed to chair, etc. Medicare didn't cover any of that....$385.

Amazon.com: Etac Turner Pro, Transfer Aid : Health & Household

She is glad to be back. The cat hasn't seen her in 4 months & at first was somewhat wary of her....I'm like WTF kitty, she's the one who adopted you.

    Morning Ken.

Yeah, she is happy to be back, she wants to get upstairs to our bed but that's not going to happen for a while.

I talked with the people in SoCali about the HAL system, they would like to evaluate her & treat her with it if they can. The clinic is in the same town her brother lives in, so that's good. Getting her out there might be a challenge. I told the guy that we would consider this after the holidays as air travel is probably going to be a mess from next Turs on until after New Years.

    Morning Borg.

Yes I imagine she misses her own bed. Something comforting about "Our" bed. Yes air travel will be crazy as America does the Holiday Season, everyone is from somewhere else.

You take care of yourself too.

Good after noon Borg and Wife

I'm glad to hear she is enjoying being home again I can totally understand she is a bit upset over not be able to sleep in her own bed... Stairs can be pure evil with only a sore knee, bad ankle or a bad back. So yeah i can see she having an even bigger challenge there.
It can also be a nice goal to have in mind for rehab training, to win over those evil stairs in the future... not next week.. but in 6/9/12months
I know she is a fighter and she will win over this.. It is like my signature.. some things only take a little bit longer to accomplish then we first thought.. The most important thing is to never-ever give up..
Stubbornness and willpower always wins in the far end.

OK, so my Wife got home safe.

They couldn't get her up the stairs, the EMT's had to call the fire dept so they could bring a motorized chair for stair climbing.

I had to help her & I'm already sore, there was some stuff to do with her, changing clothes, etc.
    Afternoon Borg.

Good to hear your wife got home safe. It's going to be difficult, but maybe this will help her in spirit a bit.

You have my best wishes to get better. Both of you. Take care
