Hope you have a good safe Friday. We're not going anywhere, the wee drams need some company tonight
I'm looking forward to the rain so the new plants will get some water on the hillside. They're not doing so well, damn squirrels & whatnot keep digging them up for some reason.

I hope you get the rain. It was kind of looking like it before sunup here this morning, but unfortunately, that is all burned away now. We need it too. I'd like to give my irrigation systems a little breather.

It's actually been a bit on the dry side here this year. The weather keeps getting a little more off every year it seems.
I told my Wife if these plants fail, we might get some new ones this year or next year, but this time we plant them in a few pots & give them a chance to get going pretty well before we put them on the hillside.
Of course she has problems with them on the front porch as well, she feeds the squirrels so they like to come up & dig stuff up on the front porch as well. But then she does feed them I told her, so what do you expect, they're going to hang around & do their thing....

Good evening all.
The grandchildren and I had a great day. I looked after the kids so that my daughter and her husband could enjoy the afternoon/evening at the Wychwood Festival.
It was fun and games - literally My grandson beat me at chess again (twice) and my granddaughter and I played checkers. After their supper we all three played Junior Monopoly before it was time for their bed.
I'll be returning home tomorrow afternoon, while my daughter and the whole family go back for day 2 of Wychwood.
