No, not much at all, that's what surprised me. I felt refreshed enough, but I normally sleep 8-9 hours once I (finally) go to bed....

Very likely, I'm already feeling my energy levels draining....

In Sweden I believe it's a postnummer, in the UK we say postcode, and in the US they call it a ZIP code. I think MS must have entrusted the UK English localisation to an unsupervised AI this time round
I would almost kill to get an 9hours of coherent sleep. I do not remember when i had that last time.. Not this year so far.. but i never give up hope of it. *lol*

I can imagine you start to feel it. I feel like the clock is 3am and its just past ten.. So it would be nice to go to sleep now.. but i know myself.. i wont make it to bed before five.

So you working on your swedish. Yeah we do say Postnummer. That miss with Zip is weird as not even a bad translator will translate it to that. So an AI might be the bad guy. as MS is playing around with AI a lot lately.. and it seems as they do not have a good AI. That Bing AI also seems off.

My problem is not getting a good sleep, it's that I never feel ready to go to bed, I always find just one more thing to to.....

No, I just Googled 'Swedish Postcode' and read the Wikipedia article about it

And this post had better be my last 'one more thing' for tonight. It's nearly 1:00am and I should seriously think about getting some sleep !

a fun story for you how easy it is to miss something when you don't really care

Around 2018 i took an old desktop that was to week to use as main system and made it into a media center computer so it could continue to be of use.
I took an old(2005 27MHz) Microsoft wireless keyboard and mouse to it to have it as wireless is nice for TV usage in the living room.
So i tamed my win7pro to be a dead quiet system with almost zero background processes for best usage for my kind of usage and demands.
I did one of my special custom installs with minimal software and i also killed a lot(and i mean a lot) of scheduled activities in the scheduler. also i inactivated a lot of processes in services. and i killed off MS-programs that runs some things and replaced the files with ghost files so MS-update/MS repair couldn't re-install them.

so no screensaver, power manager etc didn't even work as designed as a consequence and i had to make all restore points or disk defragmentation and all that background things manually as everything was killed off...... But i got a system that was as stable as Linux servers with uptime over a year without rebooting and it did not even get slow in any way.. it was as quick after over a year uptime as if it has been on for less then an hour. (only power outages has rebooted that computer since 2018 as security only update December 2017 was the last update i installed on it during install)

Then i flashed my BIOS to support a bigger CPU 6month ago and i put in the biggest supported CPU to that HP and i saw a few capacitors started to become a tiny-tiny convex during that upgrade.
After that upgrade my screensaver and power down monitor started to work. But all my mods was still intact so nothing had been "fixed" by the system.
as i dont really use it i did not care that it had started to work again. as i didn't care back in 2018
But i started to use monitor power down as this winters electric prices have been a bit high.

Then those capacitors finally broke down just over a week ago as i told about in this thread.. and i fixed it. so the system was up and running again.. and everything was back to normal as it was before it broke down.

Then the day before yesterday my computer started to make that noise when you unplug and plug in USB-devises and it was on and off with 30seconds interval.. really-really annoying and i saw it was HID device glitching in the device manager... i tried to uninstall them in the device manager and they only popup again.... So i unplugged all usb connectors and plug them in again .......and then i saw i had forgot to plug in my old USB keyboard and mouse wireless receiver (as i no longer use them since a few years back as it was old tech that eat battery's) so i plugged that one in to see if it stopped and it didn't. so i rebooted the machine as i could not get it to stop.

The computer became quiet again but my power down monitor stopped working so it became as it was before the bios flash... and again as i don't really care as the electric prices is lower again.... i just... okay...
But today i saw the electric prices was a bit higher again, so i thought it can be nice to have monitor power down... So it hit me 30minutes ago. i did connect my wireless receiver... so i unplugged it and now the monitor power down is working again.

So the fun thing in this story is....... thanks to not caring, my monitor power down has not been working all this years thanks to a sensitive wireless keyboard receiver and how many kWh of power could i have been able to save by my TV been able to power down in standby mode all this years. *lol*

    Edit
Now it is time for me to power down this computer.
Good night everyone..... and i hope this story was a bit entertaining for you all.

I expect the Vikings left a lot of their vocabulary in Old English.

Good morning Marie (whenever you read this)

    Oh ye of little faith!

I did indeed go to bed after that 1:30 post, and got off to sleep after about half an hour. It was another 9:00am wakeup this morning, it must be the early morning light that's waking me. So that was 7½ hours sleep this time around, not far off my preferred 8-9 hours.

(note to self: aim to get to bed at midnight tonight)

    Good morning Keith.

    How true....
“The trouble with words,” Dennis Potter once wrote, “is you never know whose mouths they’ve been in”. This is true of language in general but it is particularly apt for English.

Morning Bree. The English vocabulary is about a quarter Germanic , 60% Romance, and the rest from all over the world.
