Evening Marie. My alternate ISP is my cell or I drive to the senior centre to get a different ISP.
Evening Keith. My internet is generally reliable but I'll be it down at least five times a year. A single car crash into the wrong pole and I'm down.
Afternoon Mike. Still rain in the forecast.
Evening Bree. Always nice when it doesn't rain during an outdoor meeting.

I do have mobile internet thru USB if i need to be mobile with my laptops.. and i can hook that one up to my desktop if i want to.. But as it only goes down a minute or two and i do not do anything important online now.. so it is not worth the job to go and get it from my laptop bag.. if you are lazy, then you are LAZY. *LOL*

Yes it just started raining here, could be raining for next 2 or 3 days ... on and off.

Rain over night here Mike but suppose to clear.
Yes Marie. If things are down for a short period it really isn't worth the effort to switch over. Interesting that you were paying for fail over, must have been some pretty important work.

Interesting. Had an earthquake not all that far from Toronto. I didn't feel anything. Last quake I felt I was in the office, six stories up. That one was under the lake.

Mine is underground all the way so no poles to get hit.

That is nice Keith.
A great deal of ours is under ground, 100% in neighbourhood, but when it travels long distance it can be in the air.
This one bit of cable has been snapped twice by tall trucks in two different spots less than 200 meters apart.

Afternoon / evening all
It was a nice Sunday here. Since tomorrow is supposed to rain again, I've done my garden work. Soil is just dry enough to handle
