Yes Bree I don't recommend less than 8GB to any of my clients when it comes to a new machine and it must have an SSD.

8GB should be a minimum if you're looking for a new machine, but sometimes you have to compromise. I can live with 4GB if I have to.

My new little Dell 3190 2-in-1 (new to me that is, bought as a used machine) was built with 4GB RAM which cannot be upgraded. It runs Win11 well, its NVMe SSD making swapfile activity quick and unobtrusive.

Life is to short to be waiting on your computer. I offered to install an SSD and memory, if I have it, in another ladies machine. She is funny, she won't let me do it unless I charge her. Guess I'll have to tell her $20.

Afternoon Bree. I agree. People are very cost sensitive when they buy tech. Most offerings don't come with more than 8GB and people, on the whole have no idea what memory does for them.
