Any Floridians out there? Looks like we're going to see our first tropical system of the year. Fortunately, Erika isn't holding it together too well. I'm on the Gulf Coast north of Tampa. Looks like we're going to get a low grade tropical storm that may slip down to tropical depression. Talk about dodging the bullet. We are in for a lot of rain though; and lot of Gulf Coast areas are already saturated.
Erika's path has shift slight farther west and intensity will most likely be either weak tropical storm or tropical depression which is good news for those of us on the right side of the storm. That's where the worst weather always is - especially the upper right quadrant. We will have plenty of rain starting Monday and going into Tuesday - and possibly even Wednesday! Since this is our rainy season to start off with, and it's been a doozy so far saturating the ground, there are bound to be more flooding problems over what parts of the state have already had to deal with.
