Yep, that's what you have to do, open the windows in the morn & when it starts warming up, close everything off & keep the sun from shining in....
First time I've had to do that.
Yep, I've had lot's of practice perfecting that these past two heatwaves.

Basically 1st thing in the morn we open everything up. When the temp feels the same outside as it does inside, that's when we close everything up because that's as cool as it's going to get in the house that day.

    Morning Ken.

Sounds good, fresh veggies. Get some tomatoes & lettuce & make a BLT. That's what we had for dinner last night.

I've been opening everything up the evening before, at sunset when it's the same air temp outside as in. I even leave doors open while I'm still up and awake. By midnight when I go to bed it's already cooled down quite a bit, then I leave as many windows open as is safely possible overnight, closing them all and drawing the curtains in the morning when the outside temp rises to that indoors.

Good afternoon Bree. Sorry its so hot there. With no AC it is a real management job to keep comfortable.

That's the way to do it. We leave a couple windows open overnight if it's going to get cool enough.

Of course around here sometimes it's better to leave things shut all night as the humidity & heat can linger even into overnight. In summer here, it's not unusual to wake up to thick air & temps in the mid 70's....or higher sometimes....
