Being a small island bathed in the Gulf Stream we usually have high humidity to go with our heatwaves (and winters, come to that).
Makes them feel all the worse

yes i know what you mean, my mum lives up north in the Gold Coast(Surfers Paradise), same place, and I refuse to go there in summer as the humidity is off the planet, its so humid everything is damp all day long.

Our last day of the heatwave. It's in the 90's again outside, but for the first time there are some clouds in the sky. With less sun trying to get in through the windows it's staying cooler indoors today.



Tomorrow may just see low 80's, then it's 70's all the way to the end of the month by the look of it.

Sounds like you're going to be cooling down, that's good. We're supposed to have temps in the 70's for 1/2 the week & then back up to the 80's.

Yep, that's what you have to do, open the windows in the morn & when it starts warming up, close everything off & keep the sun from shining in.

We need to get some reflective film for the upstairs windows. They cut down a tree recently in front of our house & that was blocking the afternoon sun. We have a nice new view now but now the afternoon sun really warms up the house & the rooms. That'll be nice in winter, not so good in the summer though....
