OK, so the tech called & I discussed the problem with him.
He agrees with me, since this problem with the speakers is happening in both the front & the back jacks, it's more then likely a driver issue.
He did not replace the board, he says I have time on the warranty if I change my mind. He will consult with other techs to see if they have run into this issue before & if there is a solid fix. From further research this seems to be a thing with Dell PC's & also with Win 10, the Realtek drivers do not play well with 10. There have even been posts on this forum about this issue.
He laughed at my suggested solution. I told him I'm probably just going to buy a sound card & be done with this Realtek crap.
(But he did a agree it sounded like a good workaround)
Afternoon Borg. Have you installed the Dell drivers for sound chip?

I feel you! We have been in the upper 90°`s here the last couple of days. Relief this weekend!
But our Summers are brutal!!! 98°-100°+. 
And the humidity is the killing factor!
But It`s always a Beautiful day! considering the alternative.

Tomorrow my temps will be in the low 70's. BUT this Saturday and Sunday my temps will be in the low 90's
