I wish I could catch wherever the hell keeps digging up the plants we put out on the hillside. I retrospect, maybe putting a fertilizer sick in the ground with them wasn't a good idea. Something keeps getting attracted to the plants & digs them up.
Do you have armadillos in your area? Or could possibly be a rabbit. Well, I guess it could be a number of things.
This is just a thought, but you may consider calling the Game Warden service in your area, and asking to borrow a couple box traps. I'm sure they would be glad to help you out.

There's too much wildlife to peg anything specific. And they're not going to come out just to respond to something like that. No armadillos, but we do have squirrels, skunks, possums, raccoons (a couple that were out on the porch last night), woodchucks, never seen a rabbit although they do live in the quieter neighborhoods in town.
Just going to have to learn from this experience, next time we put some out just going to do it sans the fertilizer sticks & hope for the best.

I understand.
Hopefully whatever it is, will eventually move along.

You're not having much luck there.

I really am amazed at how docile the raccoons seem to be. My Wife was sitting out on the porch one night & she saw something come up the stairs, she was on the phone & assumed it was the cat. A minute later, she feels something messing with her pants leg, looks down & its the raccoon. She said NOOOO in a low voice & it actually backed up.
I know, I told her be extra careful, they can get nasty & they could have rabies. They normally just explore the porch while she's sitting out there & leave her pretty much alone, although at night she keeps the broom by her side to put between herself & them if they start to come over to her.
You're not having much luck there.
Yeah, & those plants were $78 for 10 of them.
Like I said, seemed like a good idea to put some fertilizer sticks in with them but as me & my Wife realized, probably the scent is attracting them.
