Okay, not talking politics just trying to understand.


In the US when they say there is going to be a primary or someone is going to be forced into a primary what is really happening? Is this just a way to select a candidate out of a group of candidates from the same party?

A primary is when 3 or more are running for the same position if a candidate gets 50% or more he wins if none get 50% then there will be another vote of the two highest runners and the candidate with the most votes wins.
