Yep. Winter storm Kenan is chilling everything down.
One good thing... the sun is out, here. That and the cold is making the snow look like it's sprinkled with diamonds.
Good morning, Ghot.
Stay safe.
Good morning, Mike.

Morning OM & Sammy.
Lovely weather for a stroll eh?
. So how much snow did you end up getting, or is it still snowing there?
It's pretty bad here too. Saw a pic of a place that had on the sign "If you're breathing, you're hired, c'mon in."
Some of the pharm helpers left because there are better paying jobs available now, with the shortage & all. One of the pharmacists who was there for a long time went somewhere else as well because better pay.
There's no doubt employers are going to have to pay more, which of course means prices going up, which mean employees want higher pay. Rinse and repeat.

Yeah, things are looking sketchy right now.
You heard about the new "stealth variant" that's been found in a couple states? Harder to detect & new mutations. I wonder if this damn thing is ever going away....
Yes, I read about the Omicron BA.2, a couple days ago.
As for going away... personally, I don't think so. It's here to stay.

Oh yeah, prices have sure gone up a lot. Saw an article that said meat prices are up 20% from a year ago.
Saw a article where one McDonalds in Atlanta is offering a free iPhone to employees that stay 6 months.
But yep, that cycle has started & it looks like that's be going on for a while.

Unfortunately, you may be right.

Some employers here are finding difficulty keeping staff who just don't want to work. One ad for a job said "This job involves hard work and turning up regularly and on time, snowflakes needn't apply".
Same thing here, Keith.
lol, I love the "...snowflakes neeedn't apply". That is precisely the type of business, I would support.

The ad went viral and of course the "perpetually affronted" were up in arms about it.

Well of course they did....that's not PC nowadays.....
I used to tell the kids at the college a few years ago "You can't say anything without pissing someone off...& it'll only get worse." It did.....
