Can/would someone recommend a good 4g LTE non-smartphone?

KaiOS probably works fine on a phone with a data plan.
Without a data plan it takes a ridiculous amount of time to do anything.
On the LG B460 that I had before this... I could ANYthing in 1/2 the clicks.
.
A few months ago I needed to replace an old Samsung and in looking around for a basic mobile phone I found information on Nokia having recently re-released a flip phone. As my first mobiles 20 years ago had been Nokia and very good, I looked at their range. The price is very low but as well as speech it was listed as having basic messaging and other features. With it being small and light but opening up a large keyboard it meant I could keep it with me all day and night long for general and particularly emergency use.
The unusual OS (Kai) and GUI took some getting used to but it works. As you say, it is slow, but what the hell! I don't keep it stuck to my thumbs all the time
My ISP is Waoo and, more specifically, Waoo Mobil. They use Telia for the data/messaging servers. As there are not many KaiOS customers their help desks are having problems with the APN settings for those. The automatic installs gave errors but they are helping to sort it out; I think they are learning on the way! Most of the errors are sorted, but error free APNs are not yet designed.

Well, about a month ago, I took it back and got a TCL Classic flip phone, with Android OS,
Much better phone and OS.

Funny - I hate Android! Nothing but trouble!
