Can/would someone recommend a good 4g LTE non-smartphone?
I currently have a great old LG flip phone. Unfortunately, my carrier is close to ending their 3g service, which will kill my phone.
I have no need for a smartpnone. As all I wish to do is call and text.
I'm finding it difficult to find a 4g flip phone, which I rather have, because of it's compact size. However, I am open to suggestions.
I know, I can't be the only one who has, or will soon, encounter this situation.
Any suggestions/advice, would certainly be welcomed.
Thank you.

Who is your carrier?

Thank you, Ghot, for the reply.
Carrier is T-Mobile.
I thought you (and others) may be in the same situation, thus the request for suggestions.
I know now, that they do have a couple of phones...but the reviews aren't the best.
Shame I'm going to lose service to a great compact phone. Oh well...........
If you can offer advice /suggestion, it would be much appreciated.

@WXC
None of the review on flip phones will be good cause everyone has smart phone -itis.
And because the carriers are trying to push everyone to smart phones.
Anyway, I would look at the Sonim phones. They're ruggedized.
Checkout the Sonim phones on Amazon... then ask Tmobile, if you can get any of those.
I was checking them out on Amazon. They have some seriously decent phones... specs wise.
Also.. the regular standbys... LG or Samsung.

Those Sonim phones... even the ones that don't fold are seriously rugged.
I had to switch to a 4G phone too... but Cricket won't let me get a Sonim phone. :/
I wanted the Sonim XP8 or XP5. But even the XP3 flip phone looks pretty rugged.
If you decide on the XP8 or XP5...make sure you check with TMobile.
Only the XP3 flip phone is on their list.
Samsung even has a foldable smart phone. LOL
The Galaxy Z Flip3 5G. Although, I'm not sure how far I'd trust a phone with a folding screen.
Maybe in another ten years.

Thank you for the information, buddy.
I had never heard of the Sonim phones. But have been reading about them since seeing your post this morning.
I did see the XP3 on their list. And am currently looking at the other two you listed, if I can find a new one, that is unlocked, that would be great.
Thank you again, for steering me in a good direction.

I've never been sure about locking/unlocking etc... but here's their website...

Thank you, I have it bookmarked.
Unlocked, simply means that it is not tied to a specific carrier. Thus, you can place any carriers sim card in, and activate it.
Below is the phone I have now. Bought two of them about 10 years ago, dropped my old one in a creek, this past summer, ruining it, and simply took the other one (new-old stock), to T-Mobile for a new sim. Works perfectly.
I love it, no frills, no tracking, or any other stuff I don't want. Small and compact too, never know it's in my pocket. Shame it is being killed off. lol

That's the same one I had (LG B460), before Cricket said..."we're switching to 4G network, you'll have to get a new phone".
This was the only flip phone they had... and it's a piece of junk. Bad OS too... KaiOS. :/

Actually, the phone isn't too bad, but the OS should be taken out back and shot.
