Good morning / afternoon folks.

In the low 30's with chills in the low 20's. Forecast for tonight says it'll be 6° Fri morn, Sat morn it'll be 1°. Had to run to the market this morn to grab a floodlight to keep the pipes warm.

We were supposed to have snow, nothing yet. Got the doc to agree to call my Wife so we don't have to go in to the hosp.

Ours is kind of heated, meaning the the furnace & the hot water heater are down there. But the pipe is up against the wall, that's where they ran it in when they had to put a new one in. . So now when it gets that cold I put a light on it just in case.

I have a small radiator in the cellar and keeps the basement around 55° in the winter.

Ours is somewhat insulated, it's 1/2 a basement. But that might be a good idea, as long as it doesn't get to close to the pipe, the pipe is some kind of high tech plastic. They used a drill machine to go from the main line on the street up through the dirt & I thought they would have placed it more inside. But that's how it worked out. I'm not happy with that but it is what it is.
