i dont understand why do HP uses sells different printers and cartridges
for example my old HP All in one printer is 7 years old and HP has stop making its cartridge
why dont HP sells only one line of printers and one line of cartridges?????????
The cartridges are propitiatory like a video-game peripheral . My local ink store in my area ( nice guy with a little boy now growing ) have the tools to refill old ink cartridges thus charging me way less to purchase new cartridges. He does some kind of snapping and apply a cap or something over it. However it can leak out especially if the sun is too hot or their might be something inside the cartridge causing it to explode.
That being said I have been in a print shop in my college. They have printers ( you could buy ) where you have to mix and load the CMYK inks. Pretty smelly nasty stuff if it ever leaks out. You want to be professional then go purchase one of those machines and learn about manual ink loading.
