and the pandemic is helping them immensely.
PC sales have been through the roof and as people continue to work from home they want better. Throw in Win 11 launch and you got yourself a winner.
I have one device in this house that is 11 compatible meaning I likely have to buy two devices. (One for client calls and one for my wife.) Bet this saga plays out time after time.
None of my laptops were up to W11 requirements, so I bought two more that are, both second hand.
I had only planned to get one, easily justified as a replacement for my System One. That's a decade old now (and showing its age). Chances are I would have had to replace it soon anyway.
But then an opportunity came up that was too good to pass up
I've never liked laptops ...I only build desktops ...because I can easily upgrade them anytime I want.
Each has its place.
Can't really take a desktop with me to client's homes. We travel with tablets and phones, can pretty much do anything including scanning.
My wife's "office" is the kitchen table, again you really can't have a full desktop. She closes lid and can hide it in another room when people come over.
My daily has always been a desktop. Love the big screen(s) and the ability to upgrade.
I'll stick with my desktops ...I don't travel much and when I do, I don't need any type of computer with me.
