Evening Bree. So how does race work tomorrow with you.
Is it live or do you have to wait until the wee hours of Monday morning?

    Afternoon Ken, thanks for asking.

Yes, all races except Silverstone are shown after the event.

For this one the race time and time zone difference means that yes, our 'free-to-air' is to be shown in the small hours. The race coverage starts at 5 minutes past midnight UK time, so for me it will be 0.05am Monday. Being something a night owl, I'll probably be watching it as it's broadcast.

Qualifying is another matter, they're not showing that until 8.30am Sunday, UK time.

I've heard of roasted Chestnuts. Is that part of the get together?
    Roasted, of course

Fire, some drink, and sweet roasted chestnut. Friends or family, fun in either way

What do roasted chestnuts taste like?
The idea of it sounds good, but I've never tasted them.

I'm trying to "imagine" how they taste... and the only thing I can come up with is a cross between peanut butter and popcorn.

hmm. Never tried to explain how does something taste like.. peanuts? Maybe a bit. popcorn? no

They have their own taste. A bit sweeter than peanuts. The main joy is more than just a taste Hot chestnut, taken from fire, cooling it in your hands, taken off the shell

You have to try it sometime! But it won't be much fun in hot South, has to be in colder climate, when some heat is welcome in your hands, as much as standing by the fire

They taste great, and are one of the pleasures I really look forward to each Christmas...

All you need to know is here:
The tender meat of the chestnut has a slightly sweet flavor more like a sweet potato than another type of nut.

Roasted chestnuts also are a bit spongey rather than crunchy. They are a wonderful flavor of the season that everyone should try!
