That's why I had to buy a new laptop and copy my System One's OS to it so I'd have at least one PC officially supported for 11.

    well.....

...temptation came my way this morning.

I have long had my eye on a watchlist of 'Win11 capable' laptops at CashConverters, my 'supplier of choice'. There's one that has been at the top of my wishlist for more than a month, but they wanted too much for it. Today they dropped the price and I could resist no longer. So tomorrow I expect to take delivery of a Dell Lattitude with 32GB RAM, 500GB ssd and a 10th generation i7.

At £500 ($680) I think that was a fair price

Yes, I thought so. It pays to watch and wait.

CashConverters seem to be quite inconsistent in setting an asking price, and customers seem poor at judging value for money. I've seen some that I wouldn't touch with a barge pole going for far more than they're worth, while others get a bargain-basement price tag - yet still do not sell

Thanks Ken, I couldn't resist adding it to my 'menagerie'

I really must start thinking about trimming my collection of laptops - it's nearly into (edit: recount - no, it is into) double figures now
