School openings only caused a temporary spike here.
Glad to hear that it was temp. Did they have mask mandates for schools over there?

I sure hope that is the same here Keith. We had one province, they dropped all precautions and of course their hospital system has now been over run. They are shipping patients thousands of miles to Ontario to deal with it.

Precautions put back in place and premier is trying to get is foot out of his mouth. Honestly not sure why people think covid is a political thing, it is a public health issue.
Exactly, it's turned into a chess game of the politicians trying to please everyone instead of paying attention to the root fact: This is a pandemic, sacrifices & safety measures have to be taken.

They have spent a lot of money on ventilation, supposedly every class room has a filtering unit. Some students attending virtually. We shall see.

Well it is 11:30, time for me to get the lawn cut. Charge !!!

    Have a good one.

Not sure how much good filtering will do, it'll probably help some but it's problematical at best.

Have a good day Ken & be safe.

I need to head out to, my Wife says she's getting the burgers out. Going to try that without the Frito's corn chips & see if that could be the cause. I wouldn't think so but my Wife says salt can irritate the stomach.

You all take care & have a good safe day

They did but they have dropped them now although some schools are still doing it. They are starting to vaxx 12 to 16 year olds now but there is a lot of push back on ethical grounds because the benefits to the child do not outweigh the risks significantly. The vaccines regulator, JCVI, refused to give the go ahead because of this. The chief medical officer says it should be done for the general good but this is being challenged in court as not being in the child's best interest.

They vaccinate kids much younger for other diseases so why not Covid?

Besides with the mRNA vaccines I don't think they identified any risks.

Kids over here are dying from Covid. That seems to be the reason that vaccinate for measles.

I could not agree more, Ken.

Unfortunately, in the U.S., at least, everything (including Covid), has become political. And worse yet, weaponized, as well. And I do mean, everything. It's sad, really, most can do nothing but watch in dismay (myself included), as the nation rapidly erodes.

On the Covid front, booster shots, proclaimed by the current admin. to begin September 20th, was shot down yesterday, by a 14 to 2 vote, by the FDA Advisory Board. Only persons over the age of 65, will have access to them. That is, as of this moment, of course, everything is subject to change in a blink of an eye.
