So you need to get 12 penalty point in twelve months to be banned. I had never heard of this.


So basically I'm really not sure of the real penalty Verstappen was awarded. Very unlikely he will even have six penalty points by the end of any twelve month period. Placing him three grid positions back, apart from the risks in the start, won't impede him much. I bet by 10th lap he is through pack.

Yeah, it's not much of a penalty, you get worse for exceeding the speed limit on the roads here.
