Well, the folks say the 1st time you hear ground crickets, 6 weeks later cold weather hits. This time I marked the day on the calendar the 1st time I heard them so we'll see how accurate that is. 1st time I heard them was on the 4th of this month. The next couple days are only supposed to get into the high 70's, but they are calling for 90's down the road.
And then we usually get something called "Indian summer" in the fall. That's where the temps go into the high 80's for a week or 2 in the middle of the fall season. That's the reason people leave their AC's in place until after that hits.
