Well, looking for any scientific verified study on mask effectiveness leads you to a mishmash of articles. So it hard to find an actul answer.
Yes, a N95 would be the best choice. However finding one that is an actual N95 is going to be damn near impossible nowadays.
A couple months ago they busted a fake mask ring in TX. These masks claimed to be N95, even had the the holographic 3M seal on them. They made them look like the real deal. They weren't.
Studies at European universities have shown the a regular mask does offer protection, although it's lower then thought. It offers modest protection.
Still, as far as I'm concerned anything is better then nothing so I'll continue to wear one. It's a good idea for me with all my underlying conditions.
Russia is raving about their Sputnik V vax being so good, but when interviewed a bit back, Putin admitted he had not been vaxed with it.
BTW, at my docs office I asked if there was any way he could pass me one of the N95 masks he was wearing. He said they were in short supply, with the numbers going up again & he wasn't supposed to give them out. That's when I noticed his staff didn't have any N95's on themselves. He agreed with me, finding a actual functioning certified N95 was getting harder.
Hi,
Masks especially the really cheap disposable ones do nothing it's been known for a long time even a caveman knows this lol
The n95 masks that have the exhaust hole vent is the best
This is the best dust mask there is beside a high dollar respirator type with dual filters/ or bio hazard suite lol
So if the hospital personnel were using n95 like above with the cheap masks on top it would make sense
But if a virus is airborne as covid is supposed to be n95 w/ exhaust is the only one worth using and to so called protect others you'd need to use the cheapo on top.
It would still be pretty obvious they were wearing two masks.
