All the fuss over turkey is funny. It is new kid on the block on our side of the pond. After all turkey never existed here until US was colonised. The traditional dishes would have been goose or pork. Even beef would have been rare (pardon the pun).

Of course, another common meat then would have been lamb (best tasting meat of all but very pricey these days).

Goose is the true traditional dish.
