    Good morning, folks.

It's 74° heading for a high of 84°. An abundance of sunshine too.

It looks like I'm getting a new roof and gutters in the next couple of weeks. It seems there's hail damage up there.

Morning Wynona, Gracie, and Lucy. That doesn't sound good.
Sounds good to me since I won't have to pay for it.

Daughter and son-in-law encouraged us to rent (at a very reasonable price) rather than buy the place from them. They were thinking of our financial stability. They have insurance, so they won't be out too much, but more than I'd be able to pay!

I've been working with the new HP Intel i7 computer today, and the only conclusion I can come to is that the onboard video isn't working. Especially since there's not one problem with video when I plug in the Nvidia card.

I managed to get into the BIOS and reset the whole computer. I have tried three monitors, but still no display. I have tried RGB, HDMI and DVI cables with no success.

The computer has only RGB and HDMI ports, so in order to try DVI to HDMI as Andre suggested, I had to drag out an older monitor with a DVI port on it. No luck there . . .

I guess my next step is to go to the HP forums and see if I can get any help there . . . Probably not, since I'm pretty sure it's the built-in video.

    What about the warranty ?
If this is the recent one you bought it should be covered.

    Pool League Update:

We came in at 5th place for the Spring Session of the 8-ball pool league, so didn't expect to be in the running for the playoffs.

Then . . . my team got drawn as the "wild card"!

Wednesday night, we knocked out the Second Place team, and tonight we play the First Place team! It will be a hard job to win, but I think we can do it.

If we win, we'll go to the City Tournament, representing Downtown Billiards! And the skill levels just get harder and harder to beat . . .

Beginning next week, we'll be in the playoffs for 9-ball. We have a much better chance at 9-ball, because the handicapping system is a bit more fair for lesser skill levels. I've gone up to a 2, and can beat a 4 if I'm "on my game" that night. And, we're a team of skill levels 2 & 3. I expect my team mates to do as well or better than I can!

Oh, yeah, we placed 3rd overall, so we don't need the "wild card draw" to get into the playoffs!

It is, and that's why I'm going to go to the HP Forums . . . to figure out what I need to do.
