Looks really good, @Caledon Ken.
Good job!
Thank you gentlemen.
Could not have done it without my beautiful assistant.
Yes Charlie I am concerned about a big storm. That said all the roof run off will be piped away. So just hill water. Once that lake clay settles and turns hard the water will run right off it. Might take that loose sod. That is why we did the trench, the roof water would come down hill so fast it would sweep soil out of garden.
The clay around here is really fine and when it hardens you need twice the effort we expelled to remove. It is as hard as concrete, we hit it at just the right time, still winter moisture.
The back off our property is a twelve foot wide weeping bed to stabilize hill. That white pipe ends at a sewer access cover where they can get access to the weeping bed. The weeping bed extends both ways up and down the street. The water drops down about twenty feet and joins the storm sewers which run between the houses below me on the next street.
