My guess is drainage for the water off his roof.

I'm digging a trench to place a 4" drain pipe in. You can see that off shoot near front of picture, that goes to the eve trough down spout that comes down in that corner.

Tomorrow it gets steep. From those gate post in the front of picture it goes up at a 45 degree angle to the rear of the garage where it will connect to another major down spout.


You are correct Charlie. On the other side of house I have one that wraps around 120 feet from front of garage. This new one will connect to it at the cedars, very back of picture.
