I'm only about a half-dozen years behind you, but (touch wood) I count myself lucky that the only 'meds' I've needed so far are the routine vacinations (flu, and now covid).

When I retired that's what I thought but once the doc gets a hold of you they have a habit of finding more and more.

So far I've only visited the doc when they've called me in for annual vaccinations or a routine health check - so far I've always emerged with a clean bill of health. Surprising really, as I'm an arch-typical 'couch potato'.

They even find things that aren't there. After an ECG my doc said. "Remind me, when was your heart attack?" Took a month of tests and a heart consultant to decide that no I hadn't had a heart attack.
