    Favourite Tech Gadget

    Hi all

I'm a bit of a gadget person, so I thought I'd start a thread on favourites but I'm stuck between two:

    My Neato Robotic Vacum:

    Or my Sonos:

Both are great and although the Neato is meant to save time, I waste so much just watching it buzz around the house!

    Regards

Your Neato is probably less expensive than a wife.:)

    Favourites likely no more.

OK. OK. Old thread has jumped right back to centre stage: SONOS - has decided to annoy customers and possibly bring an end to its own existence.

No relation to its quality, I've certainly spend enough on the things, and would likely spend more.

    BUT!

Yesterday they announced that owners of 'old' SONOS speakers/amps may have to watch them sink out of sight because of a new concept in user support. Namely 'Go elsewhere. Find another supplier if you want any more than 5 years longevity from excellent, expensive products.'

Five years and out? I bought a SONOS Connect-AMP to drive a pair of LEAK speakers. (Readers of a certain age will know that name!) The LEAK Sandwich speakers were bought on Tottenham Court Road about 1971. I was delighted with them then and delighted with how the SONOS has made them sound 49 years later.

SONOS are saying to the world their corporate policy is to tell me to expect nothing further from them in the way of updates, thus all my SONOS devices will become obsolete.

So this old thread is back. For wrong reasons.
