maybe if more people ask for it on the forums , they may release it asap.

I hope the 1.14” 240x135 pixel IPS LCD screen that's on the PICO Display Pack gets released as a Breakout Garden breakout.
I'd happily swap those in place of the 0.96 160x80 ones I'm using now. Landscape works better than portrait for what I use them for, especially the ones I graph temp, humidity and pressure on. A bigger screen, even if its only a little bigger, would be easier on these old eyes, that's for sure.
The PICO explorer base one got released as a breakout version, so why not this one?

I have a 16x2 LCD display I plan on messing with tomorrow morning. I'm going to wire it up to my Arduino UNO to make sure it still works. Then try to figure out why I can't make it work with my Pi PICO. This one has the i2c / SPI backpack on it, that "should" make it easier to use. Normally you have to wire up 7 or 8 data pins.
My plan is to take my laptop and all the other bits out on my deck after my morning walk with my dog Missy. The back of the house is in the shade that time of day so I should get a couple of hours of tinkering time.

My last Pimoroni order shipped on the 27th. I have at least another week to wait for it to show up. Hopefully this one doesn't take over a month like the last one. How long did you wait this time?

Ok 15 days is what I would call the old normal, before Covid. A little over two weeks is what I usually had to wait.
I have at least two of those 16x2 displays. One with the backpack and one without. I wanted at least one stock one with no backpack to use with my Arduino how to books.

Made some good progress with my display. Not sure if I'm going to try and get it working on my PICO though? It's not the same one used in the getting started book.

It all reminds me of a old tune ,Complications ,ah Complications in my Pi time ,Complications in the head. or something like that.
Finally ,remembered ,oldie for sure ,but I still have the cassette and it still works ..Steve Forbert never became really famous, but I like him, I listened to it for hr's driving in my Car way back when . Steve Forbert - "Romeo's Tune" Live in Concert, Saturday January 23, 2020 - YouTube

We have spent the last few months, daily living in my Pi cave so i didn't get much done , if all goes as planed we'll moving the new chesterfield to the living room, to-day. and I'll have my Picave back, just too much going on for me to to Think ! I'll start doing Pi things soon, that's the plan anyway, to start I got a lot of soldering to do. ..

I'll likely do the same deal tomorrow morning. It's nice and cool out back early in the morning. And I get nice shade when I'm in the gazebo. I can tinker for a couple of hours or more. My PICO Explorer I think is my next bit to play with. What took a good bit of my time today was installing Python, Arduino IDE, and Thonny on my laptop. It had been sitting on a shelf all winter and hadn't been used for months. I uninstalled the old versions and replaced them with the latest. That's all behind me now.
