I do believe the demos for that are here,
    GitHub - raspberrypi/pico-playground
And you need the official Pi Foundation uf2 file for the VGA Demo.
    The Pimoroni shop page says

This board will run the various video example programs that Raspberry Pi have put together to demonstrate features of the RP2040.

Please note that VGA Demo Base only currently works with the C/C++ Pico SDK!

It looks like my Pi Foundation stuff shipped end of last week. I hadn't gotten any response to an e-mail with the last bit of info he wanted so I sent it again. I got a reply that he received my info and it shipped last week. With a little luck I should have it by the end of the week. No mention of what it is or who it shipped with? This guy doesn't give out much info even on a good day. Oh well, at least I'm finally getting something for all this messing around.

The VGA Demo isn't one I would buy. And as you have found out, its currently not all that easy to get working. I'm kind of scratching my head as to why they went VGA instead of DVI or HDMI?

I should be able to get it to "do something", might even be something cool. It's no worse than tinkering with an Arduino, it just takes a bit of hunting up code etc. I just don't enjoy working in C or C+ all that much. I can likely find something kid orientated that your grandkid would like. Once I get it all working you can come back and get it. One good thing, micro controller wise, is once its programed you can't easily mess it up. Pulling the plug while its doing stuff doesn't hurt it. It doesn't corrupt the code stored on it. There is no having to properly shut down like on an SBC like the Pi.

The PICO, which it was made for is a Micro Controller, so yeah. The gotcha is the lack of Micro Python support for the VGA Demo Expansion. That will come once a few people buy one and hunt up Micro Python libraries for the different bits of hardware on it.

I would like to see code and breakouts used for this setup ... Happy Pico/RP2040 Day!

That's been asked for mentioned on the Pimoroni forum. There is a similar picture on the shop page but the code to do it is MIA?
