Hmm,,, not sure what's going on with the time? Unless I accidentally edited the dateString line? It's the first line under the while True:
Python strftime reference cheatsheet
It should be
dateString = "%A %B %-d %-I:%M:%p"
%A Weekday as locale’s full name.
%B Month as locale’s full name.
%-d Day of the month as a decimal number. (Platform specific)
%-I Hour (12-hour clock) as a decimal number. (Platform specific)
%M Minute as a zero-padded decimal number.
%p Locale’s equivalent of either AM or PM.
finally got in and checked ,it all is ,as you posted above , running now it thinks its Sat the 18 1:22 pm, ,, its should be 8:54am and sunday
Ok, try this. Connect to your WIFI (via your dongle).
Wait for it to update to the correct time.
Then from terminal run
sudo hwclock -w
sudo hwclock -r
That should put the correct time back in the RTC.
ok , I'll try that after abit ,I need a break right now .. up at 6am again today ,hopefully that doesn't become my new normal ,
6 AM? That's sleeping in for me. I'm usually up by 5 AM, awake since 4 430. I walk Missy at 7 AM every morning.
ok ,back to normal ,didn't need to do that last bit .
run
sudo hwclock -w
sudo hwclock -r
I think everynight I say to myself I'm getting up early and go for a walk around the block but it hasnt happened yet ,its almost 2 klm ,a lot of people from bras d'or and sydney mines and north sydney drive here to walk it ,not as much since there paved . so tomorrow i it not raning i'm going walking ,
