Classic Rock is what I like. Rock from my "Learning Years". Aprille Wine, Rush, Eagles, Led Zeppelin, Def Leppard, etc. I've lost count of how many times I joined Columbia House to get cassettes to play in the car. Each time I moved I setup a new account. I used to drive a lot between Moncton (where I worked) and Halifax (where I grew up and where my buds were). Also played a lot of tapes in hotel rooms when I was working on the road. It entailed a lot of travel all over the Atlantic Provence's and Newfoundland. Not a lot of rock on the radio in Newfoundland, at that time anyway. CD's hadn't hit the music scene yet.
Not a whole lot of Huey Lewis and the News on classic rock stations, that was one of his songs they played though.
I still have all cassettes i bought ,unless they got broke ,still play some once in awhile, Have some old 8track tapes and a working 8 trac player too , Still have all LP i bought too way back when

No word on what, if anything, might be heading my way from the Pi Foundation. I don't think the person I'm talking to via e-mail is the one who originally asked for my Pi400? He said they got it and thanks but that was about it. I sent them a friendly reminder of the original deal, no replay to that e-mail which I sent a few days ago. This guy is working from home due to covid but he can contact the other guy that wanted it, and has it.
As it stands now, Pimorni is out the cost of a Pi400, plus shipping charges to get it to me. And I'm out the duty I paid on the replacement and the shipping costs to send it to the Pi foundation. I'd be about even if I had kept it. I could have fixed it with a keyboard swap.
@caperjack did you buy one of those Argon cases? I had a look at the Argon ONE V2 Case for Raspberry Pi 4 and I'm thinking I'd like to have one. Maybe even a Argon ONE M.2 Case for Raspberry Pi 4. And the remote control of course.
I could run the M.2 with just an SD card and add the SSD latter on. Passive and active cooling.
No Argon case , I won one,but it never arrived, they said they had to set something up special to sent it to Canada [bull shit ] ,got one email from them, but they never replied to my emails ++ ,so i gave up

Ah, OK, I thought you had mentioned something about one. Bummer you never got it.
I have one of those Heatsink ones Pimoroni sells. It's Ok and looks nice, kinda wanting something better though. It has a few drawbacks usage wise.
Stripped a old,old Dell laptop I had for many many years ,use it one in a blue moon ,so I got a driverboard on Amazon and brought it bac to life as a ApplePi :)
Nice. The "fun" part is mounting everything so its usable etc. Accessible menu buttons etc. That's one thing I'm shy on, extra monitors for my Pi tinkering. I've had a few really old ones die on me. I could have gotten a driver board but more often than not, the screens were all washed out and or had scratches etc on them. Or it was the backlight that quit. It just wasn't worth spending any more money on them. lol, I have an old cellphone my daughter gave me that we didn't activate, too cheap. I'm using it to watch one of my camera feeds over my WIFI.
I don't have any monitors ,don't even use a tower comp anymore .well I still have 2 just don't use them anymore . last one I use had a 15" TV hooked to it ..this new one is just the right size ,not to small and not to big 11" wide . the driverboard was $38.00 plus shipping ,cheap compare to buying a new monitor,
My spare tower PC is sitting there with no monitor. I borrowed it to hook a Pi up too. My Pi400 is using now, but I also plug some of my works in progress into it.
I have 3 (smallish) monitors on my main Windows PC and don't really want to give one up. I use this one everyday and actually use all 3 monitors when I'm into doing stuff.
