Grabbed a few things on sale at Pimoroni. The one thing I wanted, the Pi Debug Probe, was out of stock.
Got this instead, RGB Encoder Wheel Breakout
Also grabbed a Pico with Header, Raspberry Pi Pico - Pico H
I usually solder on my own to save a buck, but the with header version also has the Debug Header soldered on. I don't have any of those 3 pin JST-SH connectors, and Pimoroni doesn't sell them. In this instance, especially on sale, its worth getting the with header version.

I may be able to buy some of the Breakout Garden stuff off of you in the New year. The sensors and LCD breakouts I can always find a use for. With Carolyn in the Hospital, they supply all her meds. Thats saving me money at the drugstore. my Drug Plan only covers 80%, and won't pay for the over the counter stuff like Vitamins.
I'll buy any Pico's you have, especially if they are Pico W's. I can buy those now if your going to part with them?

Woot, my Black Friday order got picked for delivery. It should ship on Monday.
My Pi 5 Pre Order is still waiting though.

Did a little Micro Python coding last night. I have a Pico Enviro+ that I've been tinkering with off and on. I set it up on my computer desk. It doesn't have a RTC on it so just the basic temperature, humidity and pressure display. I made the temperature info bigger so its easier to read at a glance. It was just sitting there gathering dust so I put it to use. This let me move my Tufty to my bedside table. It shows date and Time, plus weather info. It's now a nice little bedside Clock ++.

Removed the 500GB hard drive from my Eastlink recorder. I was told to take everything to an E-waist recycler, they didn't want any of their equipment back. It had those tamper proof security screws. I didn't have one of those so I got my dremel out. The cover was only plastic so I just carefully cut a rectangular hole in it. Its a Seagate Video 3.5 500GB SATA Hard Drive? First time I've seen a drive labeled Video.
I haven't decided what I'm going to do with it just yet. Won't fit in my laptop, and my desktop PC already has an SSD and a 1 TB spinner drive in it. I think I have an external enclosure I can put it in. Then maybe set it up as a USB Boot drive on my Pi 400, or my Pi 5?

Put my LED SnowFlakes up today. Snowflake: a project by Lucky Resistor I've had these for a while. I bought the set of 5 and 2 singles. That got me 3 controllers and the option to use custom sets. I put a set of 4 in the living room window, its 4 panels wide. And a set of 2 in the Bedroom window, its a double panel. These two windows face the street. That leaves a single to put over the fireplace where it can be seen from inside. There are I believe 24 paterns to pick from. I set them all to the same pattern, but do change it every other day or so.

Next mission is to put my Plasma LED strings on the two small artificial Christmas trees we have.
Wireless Plasma Kit (Pico W Aboard) - Bring Your Own Bottle
I have two of those, and a spare Plasma Stick. I'm going to remove the screw terminals and solder the LED strings right to the board. Those big screw terminals are overkill, IMHO. For my use case anyway.
