That sucks Jack. Must have been your doctor that requested it?

Just got the Order shipped e-mail. I'm pretty sure its a Stellar Unicorn which is Pico / RP2040 based. 16 x 16 LED matrix. It wasn't up on the shop page when I last looked. If you know where to look / watch, you can get hints of new products.

This Tome's Hardware Picast was pretty interesting.
The Pi Cast (6/27): Raspberry Pi Pico W Bluetooth with Phil Howard - YouTube

If the range is good enough I could go Bluetooth instead of WIFI to send my Weather Data from my remote outdoor Pico Weather Station to my indoor Pico Display setup. With a battery at each end, it should work when the power fails, and not die when my WIFI dies. And no having to setup MQTT on a Raspberry Pi SBC.
A much simpler setup, in theory. I'll let Phil iron out all the bugs, lol. I still have lots of coding to do before I get to sending the data from one Pico to another.

That DV Stick he gave a glimpse of also looks interesting. A dedicated RP2040 just to drive a display over HDMI, and a Pico W to run your code on. Two RP2040's on the one device. I'm almost kind of hoping thats what's in my mystery package?

I have several, problem is most of mine are soldered in place. I had one new spare but need two for what I want to try. I have all kinds of spare PICO's, just not PICO W's. Not a big deal as I do have one I can borrow from another project. Just need to backup whats on it and reflash it. I was wanting to try some Bluetooth tinkering between two PICO W's.

I have oodles of little side projects cluttered around my desk now. Mostly Pi stuff that was replaced with a PICO equivalent setup. The new is "the same thing but different", lol. I'm now mixing and matching extra Pi bits to make it do something cool. Thats the plan anyway. Something to do when I only want to spend an hour or two doing something Pi related on a rainy day stuck indoors.
