I really like my Pimoroni Unicorn HD, 16 x 16 for 256 RGB Leds. But decided to take it up a notch. I just ordered two 64 x 32 RGB LED Matrix Panels. They have a 4 mm pitch so with one under the other it will be 64 by 64, 256mm by 256mm, 10 inches by 10 inches, and 4096 RGB Leds.

I'll be ordering a 12 inch by 12 inch diffuser from Adafruit for them. And a few other bits to take this build up another notch. The plan is to use a Pimorni Interstate 75 to do the magic.

These are the ones I bought. RGB LED Matrix Panel - Pimoroni
Thought about it for a long while, changed my mind several times lol. I wanted something viewable from a good distance so that's why the 4mm pitch. It will give me bigger text. Two displays gets me a 10 inch by 10 inch, 64 x 64 display. The Adafruit diffuser sheet is 12 inches by 12 inches so it should be just right, size wise.
I also have plans to buy two of these for Christmas, 64 x 64 2mm pitch. 64x64 RGB LED Matrix Panel - 2mm Pitch : ID 5362 : $49.95 : Adafruit Industries, Unique & fun DIY electronics and kits
These will be an inside, view it from the room it's in setup.

Not sure why I'm buying more stuff, seeing as I've let several projects slide lately?

I "think" Pimoroni is sending me something cool for free? I got an order confirmed, for "Replacement Pimoroni part × 1 Free". I haven't asked for a replacemnt for anything? Usually, these e-mails and the online invoice, show what bit of kit is being replaced, this one doesn't. It's either a glitch or they really don't want me to know what's coming.

It's confirmed, it wasn't a glitch, it's a free thank you item. Did a little sleuthing and it appears it's a Galactic Unicorn.
Galactic Unicorn (Pico W Aboard) - Pimoroni
That actually fits in with the project I am currently working on. Well, so all I've done is the thinking planning part. Either way I can put this to good use. I'm sure whatever I get will be fun to tinker with.
