#1011
My replacement Tufty arrived.Hooked my BME280 up via the Qwicc connector this time around. And mounted it to the diffuser I have mounted on the back side as a cover, and a place to mount the battery pack. Readings are accurate now, not getting messed up by heat from the Tufty board.
I have two Pico W's on order from Pimoroni. And a couple of other bits I needed.Hoping to get back to my new weather station build, and make some more progress. Really really sore at the moment though, neck and shoulders are killing me. Will likely wait till my Pico W's arrive to go at it again.
sounds to Tuffie for me ,lol I haven't done anything in so long I forget what little i did know ,I'll have to look for a starting over Demo lol . 4yr old granddaughter is staying with us so busy enteraining her :)
Ordered this a couple of days before the big sale at Pimoroni.
1x JST-PH 2-pin Jumper Cable - 100mm long
1x LiPo Amigo (LiPo/LiIon Battery Charger) - LiPo Amigo Pro
2x Raspberry Pi Pico W - Pico W
2x JST-SH cable - Qwiic / STEMMA QT compatible - JST-SH to JST-SH
1x BME280 Breakout - Temperature, Pressure, Humidity Sensor
1x Breakout Garden to STEMMA QT / Qwiic Adapter
Also just ordered this for some big savings.
1x Tactile Switches - 3mm - pack of 5
4x SPDT Mini Power Switch
2x Pico Stacking Header Pack
2x Clippable Servo
2x Pico Proto PCB
1x Screw, Nut, Spacer, Washer Set
2x JST-PH 2-pin Jumper Cable - 100mm long
2x LiPo Amigo (LiPo/LiIon Battery Charger) - LiPo Amigo Pro
1x BH1745 Luminance and Colour Sensor Breakout
1x RV3028 Real-Time Clock (RTC) Breakout
2x Raspberry Pi Pico W - Pico W
1x Weatherproof Cover/Enclosure for Outdoor Sensors (Stevenson Screen)
The first order is on the way, should be here by end of the week or early next week. The second one is being filled, hasn't shipped yet. Once I get both orders I'll be back at my weather station project. It will be time to start splitting things up, indoor versus outdoors.
Out on the pole will be the following:
Raspberry Pi Pico W
BME280 temperature, pressure, humidity sensor (i2c 0x77)
LTR-599 light and proximity sensor
Wind and Rain sensors
The plan is to use the Pimoroni Enviro uf2 file. The above hardware "should" be detected as an Enviro Weather. The data will be sent over WIFI via MQTT. I already have all the bits to make it, so no point in buying an Enviro Weather. Plus my setup lets me mount my sensors the way I want them orientated.
Indoors I'll use the following:
Raspberry Pi Pico W
BME688 4-in-1 temperature, pressure, humidity and gas sensor
BH1745 light (luminance and color) sensor
The plan is to use the Pimoroni Enviro uf2 file. The above hardware "should" be detected as an Enviro Indoor. The data will be sent over WIFI via MQTT.
Again, already have most of what's needed to make one on hand. And as above, I have options for sensor orientation I wouldn't get with an Enviro Indoor.
The twin displays part will be just for displaying the readings. Removing all the sensors and making them remote over WIFI frees up all the pins I need to use both of the RGB Led's on the Pico Display Packs, and all the buttons on both displays.
swishhhhhhhhhhh over my headsounds cool,I haven't done anything in a long time ! this weekend I think I will be getting some stuff ready to try and sell it on Kijiji ,going to halifax tomorrorw ,coming home Friday i think .. Next week I have to try setting up the Grow kit i got for Danielle ,I will follow this, Auto-Watering with Grow Enjoy!
That reminds me, My Grow kit is sitting there doing nothing.I set it all up and tested it but never actually put it in service.
The first small order arrived today. Just did some quick wifi scan tests with the Pico W's. Tested the BME280. Also have the LiPo Amigo Pro charging a battery. Will plug something as a load once the battery is fully charged. That Lipo battery has been sitting on my desk just gathering dust for a while now. Will probably get the soldering iron out tomorrow and start fabing something up.
That second "I was waiting for" Pimoroni order came this time last week. My neck and shoulder pain has been so bad all I've done so far is check the contents of the box. Just can't get anything done.
