Sorry, Edwin. I've been too busy to punch in . . . setting up 11 new baby chicks! Which isn't the story I'm telling.
I worked the APA Appreciation Day tournament yesterday with Cyndi & Russ. That isn't an easy task! I was the "door keeper" and signed in the APA membership and guests as they arrived, handed out door prize tickets, and free drink chance tickets. That took about three hours. Then we called door prize winners plus free drink winners while handing out prizes over the next three hours or so until it was time for the Bank and Cash prizes shootout. In-between, Cyndi and I worked the room selling raffle tickets for a $485.00 cue stick!
So, I finally got to break out my cue stick for the Bank & Cash Prizes Shootout. The cue ball is placed in the middle of the pool table and the contestant is required to shoot at and hit three rails before the ball finally lands. The table is covered with bills (cash) and large slips of paper with some pretty nice prizes. The main prize was a Scorpion $185.00 cue stick (a different one than the one we raffled off) that no one landed on. I wanted that! The table is so covered with bills and paper, you'd think no one could miss! Not so! I don't understand the dynamics, but the ball hardly ever comes to a stop on a prize.
I got my turn and with my first shot (you get two), I landed on "Two Weeks of Free Play During League"! Nuttin' on the second shot!
After the last "game of chance" of the day, the tournament was resumed (I didn't play in the tournament; I was working).
At that point, my and Cyndi's work was done, so we came home. I've spent most of the day recuperating from yesterday!
ok, I see it now. The procedure I posted was a long time ago when it became Optional and that was the method at the time. Was only trying to help and it seemed nobody knew the answer. I didn't know the answer was known. Sorry for bothering you all of you.. I'll delete all of my posts...................
