Looks like I'm going to have to go with the AMD 5 2600. I went to the HP Forums and was told if it's not shown in the list it probably won't work. I'm not willing to take a chance on the unknown . . . besides, the 2600 CPU is lots better than my 2400 and will probably give me as much speed as I need, since I don't do games.

The most intensive stuff I do is editing a few videos. And using Screenpresso for my student tutorials.

If it is 6 core/12 thread you will be loving it.

EDIT: just checked and it is 6/12.

Unless a part breaks in my new build, I might not have to upgrade again ever lol.

Hi Wynona, missed you before.

Why do you need to upgrade your CPU? Ryzen 5 2400 is 4 cores / 8 threads, and is only 15% slower than Ryzen 5 2600. What is the cost of Ryzen 5 2600? It is over 150, I guess.

What I'm saying your CPU should be more than enough for your tasks. And next big step with AMD is their 3000 series. So Ryzen 5 3600 is a nice one, but won't work with your mobo
