Well it is dinner time in the north.
Hope the storm doesn't cause anyone any more grief.

Right up I-30!
I got some laying pellets, soaked 'em in hot water (cool by the time I got to the chickies), a cup of cracked corn, a container of water, long johns, hat, gloves, outers, boots, and slogged out to feed my lady girls.
They were singing to me by the time I got there! The heated waterer had thawed the 2" thick ice, so I put that in the house with them.
I think they'll be OK until tomorrow morning. I left 'em pecking and munching on laying pellet gruel and cracked corn with sips of water in-between!
Gracie walked out the back door with me, looked up and, was watching the snowflakes fall. Funny! She declined to accompany me; however, Lucy came into the house right behind me and shook the snow off her fur.
Now it's my turn to thaw out a little . . .
This place is so huge that ain't no one gonna shovel snow! When the big thaw comes, it will all run down the hill and won't bother us anymore! I think we have about nine acres all told, most of which is wooded.
I do worry about where all that snowmelt is going to go when the thaw comes. We have had a pretty dry winter, so maybe it will be beneficial to the fields.
