    Looking Snazzy you've earned it!!

I'll get something someday. I'm just content with helping people on here that's about it. I'm perfectly fine with being a nobody lol. I'm after all a *Lurker* remember.

OK, stupid question time. And I realize I'm probably missing something obvious. What is the precise procedure for giving somebody a rep point? Is it just by reply message or what? I've looked and can't see anything that looks suspicious on helpful messages or on profile pages. I've wanted to do it quite a few times, but don't know how.

First, you can't give anyone a rep from the chillout room and Windows News.

When you think someone has been helpful, there's a little thumbs up icon at the bottom of their post. Click on that and follow the yellow brick road.

An example: If I wanted to rep your post shown in screenshot, I would simply click the rep (thumb up) button:

A pop-up will appear, just write your comment and click Add to Reputation:

As Wynona already mentioned, rep is not allowed in News and Chillout, therefore the rep button is missing.

Thanks, Wynona and Kari. The posts I see all have the "Report Post" icon at lower left, but no "Thumbs Up." I would expect that here in the Chillout Room, but this is true for all the Ten Forums whether I'm using Edge or FF. Is there a setting somewhere that would fix that? This is from Windows 10 News:

Edit: Thanks again. Misstep and misunderstanding both corrected. All OK now.

    From post #1:

Ability to rep in this - the Chillout Room, and the News Forum has been disabled due to over repping for non-helpful posts.

Oops! Thanks, tomcat. That's what I get for not reading closely enough.
