Ethernet Port In The Wall?

    Ethernet Port In The Wall?


    So I have this port in my room where I use my computer. But I think it's not-live. Modem plugged into it doesn't work. Computer doesn't see anything in it...
    Is it possible I can get this thing hooked up and working? Anything I should try?

    Not sure how good you are with wiring, but if you pull the plate off, you should be to able to see how many wires are connected to the jack. 8 wires is typically ethernet, 2/4 is typically some kind of phone.

    i got it working. pulled it off, followed the cable to a thinger to plug in. it works now :)
