Yesterday morning it was 36° and raining where I live, but it was snowing nearby

Historic snowfall lands in SF Bay Area during California winter storm

It hasn't snowed where I have lived since High School. And even then it melted once it hit the ground. It shows on the mountain peaks, but very rarely in the cities...and the beach!

A sobering picture of 3 year old Milica Rakić killed 1999 Bombing of Serbia by American bomb while sitting on potty.

In her memory and memory of 79 children killed in that period a monument was erected yesterday in children's park.

saw a great story a few ago. A young lass in USA had saved and saved to buy a car. She got one and parked it on her drive. A similar sized meteorite hit her car, went through the bonnet and through the engine. She was obviously distraught. The meteorite was declared her property. She sold it for so much, she bought a brand new car. Fate can be strange sometimes.

If it wasn't for bad luck, I wouldn't have luck at all.
This morning my main monitor, 27" let out magic smoke and died, power cord melted. Took it to friend that has experience with repairing monitors opened it up and it's power supply at connector was fired. Found in nick of time an open electronics parts store and now waiting to see if it's reparable.
In mean time I tried to use my secondary also 27" monitor but no dice. Borrowed another old but working 21" monitor but no signal. Then I found out that my GPU is not working either, fans don't spin, no lights and of course no picture.
Now comes real bummer, Saturday and stores close by 3 PM if any are opened at all. Also my bank will not work between today and May 3rd, nothing will work at all not even payments during that time because of software and merger with some other bank.
I installed an really old GPU, Nvidia 7300LE I had and now I'm working on a 19" monitor and with last century's graphics.
A piece of luck, finally, In a local forum found an ad for few month old Rx 6600XT (slightly better than mine) still under 3 year warranty for 2/3 price of new one but can't send it until May 2nd and agreed to let me send him money when bank starts working.
