Yep, everything is much better, but then nothing has ever been run more efficiently by a government than it could by the private sector.
Not exactly in our case, too long socialist/communist rule and people expecting government to solve everything no matter the cost. Some, like telecommunication, transit and roads got a boost but at same time too many factories got sold for nothing and assets sold out. Main Telecom is still a government owned (51%) company but there are literary hundred or more cellphone and internet providers which is a proper mess.

    Today I feel good

I decided that I would donate an old camera system of mine to my local Wildlife trust - so I called in and was asked if i minded if they passed on my gift to them to someone deserving. I said yes and so one Sony A55v DSLR, A wide angle and telephoto zoom, a bag and the bits and pieces needed to use the kit is now owned by a young orphan teenager who is in the foster system and has very little but still finds time to volunteer with the Trust

    That's wonderful Nigel, I bet he's thrilled.

I've donated all my craft stuff and books to our local village hall.

Very nice gesture, Nigel! Helping out a volunteer is always good.

    Thank's all

I have always helped out the organisation itself with older kit of mine, When I update my Wildlife ID books, [I'm slowly moving to Kindle so I can have the information available in the field], and optical equipment I donate the older versions for them to use with teaching the public - but it's nice to see the smile on the face of an individual who has suffered
