you Mericans are normally cheaper than us here in OZ but i just worked it out

3.785412 litres = 1 (us) gallon = $7.91AUD = $5.70US @ $2.09 per litre

going on a 1000 km (600 mi) trip on Sunday at an estimated cost to fill tanks $280 AUD = $202 US and will use it all.

goodness gracious my head hurts after all of that.

About gas prices, US Gallon is smaller than imperial measure, have to take that into account.

yeah i checked that before i did my arithmetic....lol

When we were switching to metric in Canada there was some confusion about that, many thought the were cheated on gas (and milk) prices because in Canada it was imperial measure.
