Not enough power to hurt you and cheap plastic. My cat used to stop it playing with it.

Its splinters that could pose danger, the flexible drive could pose unwanted risk to sight be the fans plastic metal or rubber.
Having personal experience dealing with Government Health and Safety Executive in a UK factory it would never pass an inspection.

What is really DANGEROUS is giving some unfortunate person the idea, they installing a powerful fan on a flexible drive not realising there could be serious consequences.
