My wife's multi-millionaire brother wrote the other day to grouse about his many hardships. Among those was the sudden death of relatively new laptop.

One day, the machine just went "fizzle" and stopped running - dead as a door-nail. So, he takes his expired machine to the local fixer who opens it up and finds the entire inside coated with unidentifiable yellowish "goo."

It turns out that said brother's wife is one of those with a borderline irrational fear of Covid-19 and was protecting the machine from "viruses" by wiping down the keyboard with Clorox wet-wipes several times a day for the past month or so.

It appears that the cure was, in fact, worse than the disease.
