Did apple just make a huge mistake?

I think apple has misunderstood their market. They recently said that all new Mac's will run on their own custom ARM chips.

I think they have grossly misunderstimated the number of people that buy apple hardware to run Windows, at least some of the time. Those new Mac's will be useless for that. It's even unclear how well those new chips will work to run emulated versions of Windows.

I know a lot of web designers, developers, and IT people that use Mac's and run windows at least 50% of the time. They're not going to want to haul around 2 machines.. and they're likely going to have either live with old hardware or buy PC's.

Related to this is do they intend to lower prices (pass on some savings to the customer) or just mark things down a little and make even more money? SPOILER: Tim Crook.

I was an Apple only user of 29 years. Unless you're some professional creative or pro photographer type -- you don't need iPhones or Macs. The better Androids humiliate iPhone at half the price and the PC hardware/Windows 10 thing as gone from I DON'T THINK SO to MEH to HEY THIS AIN'T BAD in a matter of years.

I'm simply losing what's left of my mind waiting for Xiaomi to SERIOUSLY enter the USA (serious = solid band support) and DESTROY iPhone sales.

    I agree with you both..
except for the Xiaomi thing. Xiaomi is corporate China. Apple is better than corporate China.
